WOWZERS! One Direction Says They Would Date Their Fans!

Ok, please calm yourself down and take a big, deep breath. 1… 2… 3… No, please make sure you’re ok after reading that headline. Promise?

In an interview with Inside Edition, the One Direction members were asked whether they would date a fan, and their answers were quite surprising.

Zayn Malik answered first by saying: “It can be quite difficult… We always get asked if we would ever date a fan. I think we probably would.”

Harry Styles then responded: “Yeah … you like someone when you like someone!”

Did you get that? Read it again and then take time for it settle. There’s hope for us all!

Maybe each member should get all their fans (hmm only a few million) to form a queue and then host a few sessions of speed-dating. One minute each? Might only take around 10 years or so. That’s do-able, right?

Inside Edition give an insight into the current fever surrounding the band, and their 14-year old correspondent Mikaela asks which role each member takes, as well as how hard it is for the boys to meet potential new girlfriends.

Justin Bieber and Katy Perry Tweeted One Direction

One Direction are enjoying enormous success in the US, and now both Katy Perry & Justin Bieber have tweeted their congratulations to the boys, after “Up All Night” hit the top two positions in the iTunes album charts.

Harry tweeted: “Thanks to everyone who’s bought the album so far…You’re all sick!! Thank you .x”

Zayn tweeted: “Just wna say a massive thankyou to every1 over here I america that’s bought the album so far its looking promising ! Xx Oh and our canadian fans and all of our fans ! Love you all!! (sic)”

Louis tweeted: “So happy to see how well the album is doing  Thank you to EVERYONE who has bought the album whatever country you bought it in  ”

It was then the turn of Niall, who said: “thank you everyone who has bought Up All Night so far , ur amazing. (sic)”

In reply, Katy Perry commented back, saying: “congratulations, you didn’t let me down! xo” – in reference to her position on the 2010 series of UK X Factor in putting Niall through to the bootcamp stage of the competition.

Following up on Katy’s tweet, only JUSTIN BIEBER sent a message congratuling the brit-boyband on their hit album, saying: “congrats to my dudes @onedirection for the #1 album on itunes and @thewantedmusic for the #2 on singles. We share the same queen. #Canadian”

Justin also sent a message to Niall, saying: “”good guys always win bro. congrats”.

Oh the life of a 1D member eh, getting casually tweeted by Katy Perry & the Biebster. An everyday occurrence!

Elsewhere, Harry Styles is upset with stories that he was breaking away from the rest of the band-members.

A source told Star magazine: “Harry is quite insulted by these reports. He says he is in no way big-headed that that his ego is not getting out of control. He is still very much one of the five boys, and considers them to be a team above all.”

It’s True – Harry Loves A Cougar!

Hazza and Cazza might have been the most talked about couple of the last few months, and it seems that the age gap doesn’t faze Harry at all, in fact he’s come out and said that he loves an older woman whilst speaking with We Love Pop magazine.

The teen mag asked him questions about his love life, with Harry answering: “No older than my mum and she’s 43. I love cougars though. Age is nothing but a number.”

Sorry to disappoint the younger Directioners out there!

But he did say that he wouldn’t stop dating a girl if his mum didn’t approve: “It wouldn’t affect it much, because if you like someone you like someone.”

It was rumoured that Harry’s mum wasn’t too keen on his relationship with Caroline Flack, but our Hazza is a strong character with his own morals and beliefs, so he doesn’t rule girls of any age out (well you have to be under 43!)

Keep your fingers crossed, but don’t go calling him “snugglebug” – he’s not a fan of cutesty pet names!

One Direction To Get Their Own Nickelodeon Show?

Well Directioners, it looks like our boys made a good impression whilst over in America, as rumours have emerged that Nickelodeon are tempted to offer them their own show.

Due to the overwhelming reception from fans they received on their recent whistle-stop tour, a source told Now magazine: “Simon Cowell has vowed to launch them on the US X Factor, while Nickelodeon are in talks to give them their own show.”

We’ve yet to see the iCarly episode which they filmed so can’t comment on their acting skills yet, but if true, it bodes very well for any future success in the USA, if not all over the world.

In other news, Harry Styles has been told to join an exercise class to cure his back problems.

Harry said last month: “I have bad posture and I’ve been told to take pilates once a week.”

We bet that class will be one of the busiest around! “Mum, mum, I wanna take up Pilates, please!”

America officially has One Direction fever – album release date pulled forward!

Try not to panic One Direction fans – but we could lose our boys their US fans. America is OFFICALLY nutty for 1D! *hyperventilates into a paper bag*

Our American cousins love the What Makes You Beautiful singers so much that the release date for their debut album has now been pulled forward by a week, and will be available in the US from 13 March.

The boys were besieged by fans during their recent Stateside trip – with around 200 screaming girls waiting for the them outside their hotel. Super-keen (and presumably well off) fans also booked out empty rooms at the boys’ LA hotel in an effort to get even closer to them. Meanwhile, devoted fans spent over 12 hours waiting for the Harrym Zayn, Louis, Liam and Niall outside the iCarly set where the boys were filming a cameo appearance. That is dedication for you.

One Direction will leave us again in February when they join Big Time Rush on their Better With U tour. But, the X Factor boy band aren’t the only UK group doing well in the US, The Wanted have started to make waves in the States – and they’ve already sneaked in a appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' show.

At this rate, there’ll be no boy bands left for us!

One Direction's Liam Feeling "Nervous" Ahead Of BRIT Awards 2012

One Direction star Liam Payne has revealed that he is feeling really "nervous" ahead of the BRIT Awards 2012.

The boy band are nominated for Best British Single for their song 'What Makes You Beautiful' and Liam took to his Twitter account to express his anxiety.

Earlier today, he tweeted: "im so nervous lovely to read tweets of how many of you have voted its so amazing how you guys support us in everything we do thank you xxx ."

One Direction will go up against the likes of The Wanted, Jessie J and Ed Sheeran for the award at London's O2 Arena on 21^st February.

Meanwhile, The band are due to head out for their US tour later this month in support of Big Time Rush and the American outfit recently claimed they are really looking forward to spending time with the former X Factor stars.

Voting for all of the categories at this year's BRIT Awards has now opened, including the British Single award, which is voted for by listeners of Capital FM.

Each listener who casts a vote for British Single  will be entered into a competition to win a pair of tickets to this year's ceremony.

One Direction Want Kim Kardashian And Miranda Cosgrove For Valentine's Day - Video

One Direction have revealed who would be their ideal dates on Valentine's Day.

The group, who recently returned from their first trip to America, are set to spend the big day in Paris, but that hasn't stopped them thinking about what they will be doing on the 14th February.

"I think on Valentine's Day this year we've got a trip lined up to Paris," Louis Tomlinson said. 

"It almost sounds like we're going on a romantic trip for five, but actually we're going there to visit some of the French fans."

Asked by Cambio who their ideal dates for Valentine's Day would be, Niall revealed that he would like to hook-up with iCarly's Miranda Cosgrove.

Liam wasted no time in saying he would like to spend Valentine's Day with Kim Kardashian, while Zayn remained tight-lipped over his date.

"I'm going to stick to my mysterious role and say maybe I do, maybe I don't," he said.

“Gotta Be You” USA Version – What Do You Think?

We’ve got a sneak peak of the new US version of One Direction’s “Gotta Be You” and you can hear it below.

At first listen it’s not actually that much different, but pay close attention and there are subtle differences. Certain vocals have been autotuned (why?), and there are slightly amended backing tracks as well as a few other nuances – can you spot them?

Released in the UK as 1D’s second single, the track only got to No.3 in the charts, possibly a disappointing result after the smash success of “What Makes You Beautiful”, so perhaps the amended track is to give it a better chance of success in the American market.

Big Time Rush Say One Direction Are Going To Be “Massive”

Big Time Rush have been speaking to Digital Spy about their soon-to-be happening tour with One Direction, and it seems the yanks are big fans of our boys.

Carlos Pena from the band said: “They’re incredibly talented, and I think they’re going to have massive success in the US. It doesn’t work for everyone, but I think it will for them. Our fans are also One Direction fans, which is a great sign for them. Hopefully we can help each other out in our own countries.”

Many people including BTR are tipping 1D to be massive in the states and these latest comments only confirm that.

In other news, Harry Styles and Caroline Flack might be back on, with reports suggesting that Harry never really wanted to end their romance in the first place.

According to Now magazine, an insider said: “They’re still in contact. Harry wants to see her once he completes all his tour commitments. His management don’t know about it. He and Caroline are really smitten – it’s far from being over for good.”
